You can download the most recent Musical Resources from our web
site (www.korgpa.com). Please read the instructions supplied with
the installation file.
New Voice Processor presets
When
loading
the
new
www.korgpa.com), new Voice Processor presets are added on
locations 57-74, to accommodate settings for the new Pitch Cor-
rection and Voice Modeling modules.
New Drum Samples
Two new Snare Drum samples have been added to the Musical
Resources, at the end of the list appearing when editing a Drum
Kit. New Samples are SD Rock (#490) and SD Normal (#491).
New Drum Kits
Four new Drum Kits have been added to the Musical Resources,
on page 7 of the Drum/Percussion bank. New Drum Kits are Pop
Std. Kit 1 (PC#120-000-089), Pop Std. Kit 2 (PC#120-000-090),
Elektro Kit 1 (PC#120-000-096), Elektro Kit 2 (120-000-097).
New Styles
Four new Styles have been added to page 4 of the World 1 bank.
Hit and Sequence Pads
Due to the changes to the Pad's structure, new Hit and Sequence
Pads have been added (files and folders with the ".PAD" exten-
sion). They can be selected in the Pad pages (see "Modified Pad
panel and page 2.0" on page 27).
Various Modes
Improved GM messages compatibility
Compatibility with the various "dialects" of the General MIDI
standard has been improved. NRPN (#99, 98) Control Change
messages have been revised for improved compatibility. The fol-
lowing NRPN messages are recognized by the Pa1X:

Note: These controls are reset when stopping the Song, or selecting
a new Song.
Repeated pressure of the SOUND/PERFOR-
MANCE SELECT, or STYLE SELECT buttons
The first time you press one of the SOUND/PERFORMANCE
SELECT, or STYLE SELECT buttons, the Sound Select, Perfor-
mance Select or Style Select window appears.
If you press the same button again, the next page in the same
bank is selected. This way, you do not need to press one of the
corresponding tabs in the display in order to select a different
page.

Style name flashing
When selecting a new Style from the Style Select window, its
name begins to flash, meaning it is ready to start playing at the
beginning of the next measure.
STSs selected in the display
STSs can now be selected in the display.
• When in the Style Play or Song Play main page, press the STS
Name tab to make the STS Name panel appear.
• When in SongBook mode, press the Lyrics/STS tab to make the
Lyrics/STS panel appear.
At this point, you can select one of the STSs by touching its
name in the display.
