NOTICE AVERTISSEMENT
VOUS VENEZ DʼACHETER UN PORTE VELOS AUTOMAXI - NOUS VOUS REMERCIONS POUR LA
CONFIANCE QUE VOUS ACCORDEZ A NOTRE MARQUE.
Le porte vélos que vous venez dʼacheter est destiné au seul transport de vélos. Charge maxi du porte-
vélos : 45 KG soit 3 vélos. Les 2 notices sont à lire impérativement avant dʼutiliser le porte-vélos et à
conserver pour les utilisations futures, pour une utilisation en toute sécurité.
ATTENTION : LE NON-RESPECT DES NOTICES DE MONTAGE ET AVERTISSEMENT PEUT OCCA-
SIONNER LES DEGATS IMPORTANTS A VOTRE VEHICULE ET METTRE EN CAUSE VOTRE
SECURITE ET CELLE DʼAUTRUI. LE FABRIQUANT SE DEGAGERA ALORS DE TOUTE RESPON-
SABILITE
SECURITE ROUTIERE :
4 Quel que soit le pays ou vous utilisez votre porte-vélos, veuillez à circuler en respectant le code de la
route
4 Ne roulez jamais avec le porte-vélos SANS VELO.
4 Plaques dʼimmatriculation et feux de signalisation doivent être impérativement visibles – veuillez à ce
que le chargement de votre porte-vélos ne les cache pas – si nécessaire rajouter plaques dʼimmatricu-
lation et feux supplémentaires.
4 Les sangles usées ou effilochées sont dangereuses
4 Ne jamais circuler hors du réseau routier non goudronné alors que des bicyclettes sont installées le
porte vélos.
Il revient au client dʼutiliser ce produit de façon sûre et adéquate.
1°/ Avant le montage du porte-vélos, sʼassurer de la compatibilité du montage avec votre véhicule
2°/ Chaque vélo ayant une géométrie particulière, il vous appartient de vérifier la compatibilité de vos
vélos avec le porte-vélos. Pour les vélos sans barre supérieure, une barre additionnelle peut être ajou-
tée sur le vélo afin de pouvoir le poser sur le porte-vélos.
Vélos enfants : compatibilité non garantie.
3°/ Consultez le manuel dʼutilisation de votre véhicule sur les charges maximum autorisées par le
constructeur de votre véhicule.
4°/ MONTAGE ET UTILISATION SURE - Assemblage/Montage :
a) Respectez, dans le moindre détail la notice de jointe à votre porte-vélos.
b) Vérifiez, avant chaque étape dʼassemblage de votre porte-vélos, les tableaux dʼaffectation en début
de notice.
c) Montage du porte vélos sur le véhicule : Ce porte vélos a été conçu pour protéger la peinture du véhi-
cule si installé correctement. Nettoyez avec soin les zones de contact entre le porte-vélos et le véhicule.
d) Le porte vélos doit être totalement solidaire de votre véhicule. Le réglage des éléments de fixation doit
être fait avec soin et précision : se référer à la force de serrage préconisée sur la notice de montage
e) Arrimez les sangles en nombre suffisant en suivant scrupuleusement la notice de montage du porte
vélos sur votre véhicule
f) Veillez à plier les extrémités des sangles qui dépassent.
5°/ CONDUITE DU VEHICULE AVEC LE PORTE VELOS :
4Inspectez et vérifiez le porte vélos avant toute utilisation. Vérifiez avant chaque utilisation, le réglage
des noix et métrage des sangles.
4Votre conduite doit tenir compte de la prise au vent du porte vélos chargé.
4Adaptez votre vitesse en fonction de la charge transportée et ne dépasser jamais la vitesse maximale
préconisée de 90 km/h.
4Il vous appartient dʼajouter des protections supplémentaires pour protéger vos vélos.
4Les gaz dʼéchappement du véhicule étant très chauds, ne disposez jamais dans le prolongement du
pot dʼéchappement ni les pneus des vélos, ni les sangles du porte-vélos.
4Retirez tous les accessoires de vos vélos (sacoche, porte-bébé, pompe, ...)
4Respectez une distance minimale entre le sol et la partie la plus basse de votre chargement pour évi-
ter tout risque de choc entre la route et les vélos.
4Si la largeur des vélos dépasse la largeur de votre véhicule au-delà des limites imposées par le code
de la route du pays dans lequel vous circulez, nous vous conseillons de démonter certains éléments de
vos vélos.
4Serrez et vérifiez la tension de toutes les sangles et tous les moyeux lors de chaque inspection du
porte vélos et des bicyclettes et cela, notamment sur les chemins cahoteux ou petites routes.
4Exclure tout dispositif élastique.
4Ne faites pas fonctionner automatiquement lʼessuie-glace arrière de votre véhicule, avant de vous être
assuré que le porte-vélos le permette. Certains véhicules sont équipés dʼun déclenchement automatique
de lʼessuie glace arrière.
4Evitez : les mauvaises routes / les accélérations brutales, les freinages brutaux, les mauvais arrimages
4Ralentir fortement avant les ralentisseurs ou autres obstacles / ayez une conduite souple et anticipée
/ limitez votre vitesse en virage.
6°/ ENTRETIEN DU PORTE-VELOS
4Avant chaque utilisation, reportez-vous aux notices afin de contrôler tous les réglages de noix et sangles.
4Remplacez immédiatement les pièces défectueuses et nʼutilisez pas le porte-vélos avant une répara-
tion, éventuelle, complète.
4Une attention particulière à lʼétat des sangles et crochets, et au fonctionnement des boucles de ser-
rages.
4Nettoyage du porte-vélos : ne pas utiliser de produit chimique agressif.
4Lavage automatique de votre véhicule : Retirez impérativement votre porte-vélos.
4Rangez votre porte-vélos soigneusement avec les 2 notices dʼavertissement et montage après chaque
utilisation.

YOU HAVE JUST BOUGHT AN AUTOMAXI BICYCLE CARRIER

YOU SHOW IN OUR BRAND
The bicycle carrier you have just bought is intended solely for transporting bicycles. Maximum load of the
bicycle carrier: 45 KG or 3 bicycles. Both sets of instructions must be read closely before using the bicy-
cle carrier, and they are to be kept for future use and for use in complete safety.
PLEASE NOTE: FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY AND PRE-
CAUTION CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE AND THREATEN YOUR SAFE-
TY AND THAT OF OTHERS. SHOULD YOU FAIL TO DO SO, THE MANUFACTURER WILL BE
RELEASED FROM ALL RESPONSIBILITY.
ROAD SAFETY :
4 Whatever country you use your bicycle carrier in, be sure to observe the highway code.
4 Never drive using the bicycle carrier WITHOUT BICYCLES.
4 License plates and driving lights must be visible at all times – be sure that the load on your bicycle car-
rier does not hide them – if necessary, provide additional license plates and driving lights.
4 Worn or frayed straps are dangerous.
4 Never drive off the un-tarred highway network while bicycles are installed on the bicycle carrier.
It is the customerʼs responsibility to use this product in a safe and appropriate way.
1° / Before mounting the bicycle carrier, be sure that mounting is compatible with your vehicle.
2° / Since each bicycle has its own particular geometry, be sure to check the compatibility of your bicy-
cles with the bicycle carrier. For bicycles without an upper bar, an additional bar can be used on the bicy-
cle in order to set it on the bicycle carrier.
Childrenʼs bicycles: compatibility not guaranteed.
3° / Consult the driverʼs manual for your vehicle on maximum loads authorised by the manufacturer of
your vehicle.
4° / ASSEMBLY AND SAFE USE - Assembly / Mounting:
a) Follow the instructions attached to your bicycle carrier down to the last detail.
b) Before each step in assembling your bicycle carrier, check the diagram at the beginning of the instructions.
c) Mounting the bicycle carrier on the vehicle: this bicycle carrier was designed to protect the paint of the
vehicle, provided it is installed correctly. Clean carefully the areas of contact between the bicycle carrier
and the vehicle.
d) The bicycle carrier must fit your vehicle snugly. The clamps must be adjusted with care and precision:
refer to the clamping force recommended in the mounting instructions.
e) Secure a sufficient number of straps to your vehicle following with care the bicycle carrier mounting
instructions.
f) be careful to fold the protruding ends of the straps.
5° / DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH THE BICYCLE CARRIER:
4Inspect and check the bicycle carrier before each use. Before each use, check the adjustment of the
nuts and metering of the straps.
4Your driving must take account of the take of the wind on the loaded bicycle carrier.
4Adapt your speed to the load being carried and never drive in excess of the maximum recommended
speed of 90 km/h.
4It is your responsibility to provide additional protection for your bicycles.
4As exhaust fumes from the vehicle are very hot, never arrange either the tyres of your bicycle or the
straps of the bicycle carrier in front of the muffler.
4Withdraw all accessories from your bicycles (toolbars, baby carriers, pumps, etc.).
4Keep a minimum distance between the ground and the lowest part of your load so as to avoid any risk
of the bicycles hitting the ground.
4If the width of the bicycles is greater than the width of your vehicle beyond the limits required by the
highway code of the country where you are driving, we advise you to dismantle part of your bicycles.
4Tighten and check the tension of all straps and all hubs on each inspection of the bicycle carrier and
the bicycles, particularly on bumpy or narrow roads.
4Exclude the use of all elastic devices.
4Do not switch on the rear windscreen wiper of your vehicle before making sure your bicycle carrier will
allow it. Some vehicles are equipped with automatic start-up of the rear windscreen wiper.
4Avoid the following: poor roads; sharp accelerations, abrupt braking, poor fastening;
4Slow way down before speed bumps or other obstacles; drive smoothly and with anticipation, limiting
your speed in turns.
6° / UPKEEP OF THE BICYCLE CARRIER
4Before each use, consult the instructions in order to control all the adjustments of the nuts and straps.
4Immediately replace defective parts, and do not use the bicycle carrier before any possible repair is
complete.
4Pay close attention to the state of the straps and crochets and also to the strap buckles.
4Cleaning of the bicycle carrier: do not use any aggressive chemical products.
4Automatic washing of your vehicle: be sure to remove your bicycle carrier beforehand.
4After each use, store your bicycle carrier carefully together
with the two sets of instructions for assembly.
