Description
The USB interface is used for setting up the cylinder with the PAP tool
(software for configuring door systems) and for firmware updates.
With the tamper protection contact (tampering) activated, a signal can be
sent to the primary control unit if the knob on the electronics side has
been removed (e.g. when replacing the battery or during a tampering
attempt). An alarm is also saved in the internal memory and the motor
is run in decoupled state. This alarm is indicated by the red flashing LED
(„Monitoring via tamper protection contact (tampering)", Seite 39).
The turning aid is fit over the knob after installation. It makes it easier to
turn the knob and can be purchased as an accessory.
