CLEANING
For a good conservation of the cooking surface, it must be cleaned regularly at the end of every use, once it has cooled down.
Never remove the handles from their seat
Surface
The surface is to be cleaned with a damp cloth with specific products which can be found on sale.
Once rinsed, if possible, dry it with buckskin.
Grills
The surface cast iron Grills have been designed to perfectly adhere to the ceramic plate.
The Grills have been designed so that they can be washed in dishwashers.
Burners
The burners, composed of two pieces, can be removed and washed with adequate products. After cleaning, carefully dry and perfectly
place in their seat.
In models with electric ignition, verify that the electrode "E" (fig. 13-17) is always clean.
In models provided with safety, clean feeler "T" (fig. 13-17) to allow the regular functioning of the safety valve.
Both the electrode and the feeler must be cleaned with caution.
At the end, perfectly replace the burners in their seat.
To avoid damages at the electric ignition, avoid using it when the burners are not in their seat.

MAINTENANCE

The appliances do not need particular maintenance, however, a check is recommended every two years.
Whenever stiffening should occur in the rotation of the handles or gas is smelled, close the main tap and call the technical assistance.
The defective tap is to be replaced together with the gasket.
CERAMIC PLATES
The plates can be removed and placed in the dishwashers for easier cleaning.
Can be of different colour (fig. 18) to be able to match the origine surface to the kitchen, the plates can be easily found in authorised
centres.
WARNING: Ceramic plates are made from stoneware. Ceramic stoneware boasts exceptional product qualities, including excellent flame-
resistant properties, due to the fact that it is initially fired at high temperatures. A wide range of pots and pans produced using this
technology are already present on the market.
Ceramic plates supporting the burner base should be treated with care and attention as any accident involving a falling object might
well break the surface, given that the material has the same degree of fragility as a traditional ceramic plate. In the event of any accidental
breakage from a falling object, the ceramic plate will break into several pieces. Under such circumstances, Glem is not directly responsible for replacing this part.
CERAMIC PLATE USE AND MAINTENANCE
Ceramic plates are tested in order to comply with legislation currently in force and standard cooking appliance use, including the use of
standard pots and pans. Under exceptional circumstances, items may crack if subject to heat stress level in excess of normal operating
conditions.
Plate cracking may be due to any one of a number of reasons: excessive heat stress, hidden flaws, and – above all – thermal shock
when the object experiences a sudden temperature shift from hot to cold.
In the event a cracking, a ceramic plate breaks cleanly into two identical halves.
In order to avoid ceramic plate cracking, we recommend the following:
- Increase flame intensity gradually.
- Rounded pots and pans should be used. The base should not exceed plate diameter.
- Make sure the plate is cool before washing it in the dishwasher.
- Do not remove the plate immediately after cooking operations.
- Make sure the cooking appliance uses the correct nozzles for the type of gas supplied and that the nozzles work correctly.
- Make sure the plate is correctly mounted and positioned.
In the event that cracking should occur, send the two pieces to the attention of Glem. The company will assess the breakage and any
subsequent replacement of the part in question.
