Fixing the surface
Fixing the cooking surface to the unit must be done as follows:
Arrange the surface in the hole on the unit making sure it is central.
Fix the surface to the unit with the appropriate supplied brackets as shown in fig 9.
Installing the sealant correctly offers a complete guarantee against liquid infiltration.
Area of installation and discharging the products caused by combustion.
The appliance must be installed and used in suitable areas and in any case it must be in conformity with laws in vigour.
The installer must refer to laws in vigour concerning ventilation and evacuation of combustion products.
It is reminded that the necessary area for combustion is 2m3/h per kW of power (gas) installed.
Area of installation
The area where the gas appliance is installed must have a natural flow of air, necessary for gas combustion (standards UNI-CIG 7129
and 7131).
The flow of air must come form one or more openings made on a free section that is at least 100 cm2 (A).
This opening must be constructed in a manner so that it is not obstructed internally or externally and must be near the floor, preferably
on the opposite side of combustion product evacuation.
When it is not possible to make these openings the air can come from an adjacent room, ventilated as required, as long as this room is
not a bedroom, have a dangerous environment or sunk down (UNI-CIG 7129).
Combustion products unload
The gas cooking apparatus have to unload the combustion products through hoods directly connected to chimney flue or directly to the
outside (fig. 10).
Should it not be possible to install a hood, the use of an electric fan applied to an external wall or to the room window is necessary.
This electric fan must have a hold which guarantees an air change in the kitchen of at least 3-5 times its volume (UNI-CIG 7129).
Components illustrated in fig. 10
A: Opening for air input
C: Hood for combustion products evacuation
E: Electric fan for combustion products evacuation
Connection to the gas plant
Before installing, ensure that the local distribution conditions (gas nature and pressure) and the surface adjustments are
compatible.
To do this, verify the data of the product label applied on the surface and on this book.
The gas connection must be carried out in conformity with rules UNI-CIG 7129 and 7131. The cooking surface must be connected to
the gas plant using stiff metal tubes or stainless steel flexible tubes at continuous wall, consonant to rule UNI-CIG 9891 with maximum
extension of 2 m.
Ensure that, in case using flexible metal tubes, these do not come into contact with moving parts or are crushed.
Carry out the connection so as not to cause any kind of stress on the apparatus.
The gas input connection is threaded G
For ISO R7 connections, it is not necessary to interpose the gasket.
For ISO R228 connections, it is necessary to interpose the head wheel provided.
