4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGERS AND BATTERIES
To ensure the proper functioning of charger and battery and also to protect them against damages, please observe
the following rules:
4.1/ Battery use
-
When the battery is not sufficiently charged, the voltage across it may be correct at approximately 12V or
24V depending on the battery model. The main physical phenomenon indicating sufficient or insufficient
battery charge is the gravity of the battery solution. Normally, when the gravity of the battery solution is
1.28kg/l, it means the battery is fully charged. If it is lower than 1.16kg/l, the battery is not fully charged.
-
Before charging the battery and depending on its model, remove the cover to check the level of electrolyte
solution. If necessary, top up with deionised water.
-
The electrolyte solutions in batteries are extremely corrosive. Please ensure it does not come in contact with
your skin or clothes. In case of contact with skin, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical
advice immediately.
4.2/ Method for charging the battery
- Place the red cable on the 12V or 24V terminal of the charger depending on the desired voltage and tighten the nut
firmly.
