TROUBLESHOOTING

Malfunction
No Led on the TX and RX
columns on
Orange "Disq." Led on the
receiver column out continually
BIRIS II 100 & 200 only
Red "Alarm" Led on the receiver
column lit continually
BIRIS II 50 only
Red "Alarm" Led on the receiver
column does not light up when
the beams are interrupted
Probable cause
 Improper power supply

Transmitter column without
power

Transmission module and
reception module on
different channels
 Poor alignment of cells
 Object obstructing the beams
 The two cells are not
interrupted simultaneously (in
mode "AND")

Solution
 Check power supply (operating
range between 10V and 14V)

Check transmitter power supply

Put the transmitter and receiver
on the same channel, then
switch columns' power off and
on
 Re-perform the alignment
procedure
 Disengage the beam axes
 Interrupt all beams
simultaneously
