3.0 Electrical connection

3.1 Open housing
Press in the snap-in hooks (see Fig. 1).
The Humidity-Temperature Sensor electronics are located in the lid of the housing.
During subsequent assembly, hook in the snap-in hooks on one side of the housing base
and snap in the housing.
3.2 Connection of an external power supply and use of the analogue outputs (e.g. for
AIR1 ventilation units)
3.2.1 External power supply
– Set jumper 2 to External power supply (see wiring diagram SS-1074).
– Connection to a suitable power supply via the push-in terminals (24 V~).

In case of connection to an AIR1 ventilation unit, observe the wiring diagram, see the
installation and operating instructions for the AIR1 ventilation unit.
The specified voltage range must not be exceeded or fallen below. The polarity (+/-) is
arbitrary.
3.2.2 Use of the analogue outputs
Connection of Humidity-Temperature Sensor KWL-FTF to a ventilation unit (KWL unit,
AIR1 unit, fan etc.), which is equipped with an analogue input (0-10 V). Note polarity!
Maximum cable length between sensor and controls: 50 m.
Recommended cable type for the sensor connection: shielded 4-wire strand (provided
by customer) with 0.5 mm² strand cross-section. The shield must be applied to the GND
on the control side.
The KWL-FTF issues the temperature value in addition to the relative humidity (via the
terminals A2 and GND). Note polarity!
