Notes on ensuring that the device has not been
tampered with
This operating manual contains information and notes for users and administrators (application
developers) for secure operation of the chip card terminal KB SCR2 eSIG.
The product can be uniquely identified with the aid of the following designation on the rear of the
keyboard:

Certificates

It is on basis of the EU directive 1999/93/EC, the German act on the framework conditions for
electronic signatures ("Signaturgesetz"/SigG [4]) which was drawn up 16.5.2001 and came into force
on 22.05.2001.
The KB SCR2 eSIG is in accordance with the German Electronic Signatures act for framework
conditions and the German Ordinance on Electronic Signatures (SigG and SigV) and was validated
by the German TÜViT with common criteria EAL 3+.
The manufactures declaration of conformity is issued in accordance with the German Electronic
Signatures act for framework conditions (SigG), section 17, subsection 4, sentence 2 and the German
Ordinance on Electronic Signatures (SigV), section 15, subsection 15, sentence 1.
