* You don't need to use the QBiC Setup Tool when connecting through ad-hoc communication.

CONNECTING THROUGH AD-HOC COMMUNICATION

The following description shows how to connect the product to the Monitor (iPhone, iPad,
iPod touch (iOS)) through Ad-Hoc communication.
When using Android terminals, check if they support Ad-Hoc communication.
Please refer to the instruction manual of respective terminalfor details about the
configuration.
1. Check [SSID] and [KEY(encryption key)]in the rating label on the bottom of the
product.
2. Power on the product.
3. Press and hold (over 4 seconds) [Mode Selection Switch].
4. Three beep sounds occur and WiFi LED flashes blue. The product enters ad-hoc
communication mode.
5. From the Home screen of the product, tap [Setting] [WiFi].
6. Slide [WiFi] on the right to [ON].
7. Same alphanumeric characters as the [SSID] on the label appear in [WiFi
Network]. Tap them.
8. Password menu appears.Input the same alphanumeric characters as the [KEY] on
the label.
9. Tap [Connect] icon.
10. ✓ mark appears. The WiFi LED turns blue.
11. Tap the icon
12. "Communication Setting Window" appears.
13. Setting for IP address and subnet mask appears. Tap "Static" tab.
14. Input IP address and subnet mask as follows.

15. Close the "Communication Setting Window"to return to the Home screen.
16. Boot the application [QBiC Air].
17. The image from the product appears on the screen. Live view starts.
18. If "Communication Error" message is displayed on the application, check the
settings for the product and the Monitor. Then reboot the application after
rebooting the product and the Monitor.
