5.2. Replacing the fan

- Switch off and isolate the condensing unit.
- Disconnect the fan motor cable from the junction box.
- Undo the 4 mounting bolts.
- Take off the fan motor assembly.
- Replace the fan motor and its capacitor.

5.3. Leak checking and periodical inspections

A leak detection check must be carried out annually or as
specified by local regulations.

5.4. Electrical checks

Systematically check all electrical components with screwed
terminals. Tighten any connections if necessary.
Check regularly:
- Safety and control devices,
- The condition of electrical and refrigeration connections (e.g.
for any loosening or oxidation),
- Operating conditions,
- The mounting of the condensing unit on its base,
- The housing fixings (no vibration),
- Crankcase heater operation.

5.5. Filter drier

Silensys condensing units are fitted with a threaded filter drier
using a connection kit (except for the following models SIL4590Z,
SIL4610Z, SIL4612Z, SIL4614Z, SIL4615Z, SIL2532Z, SIL2544Z and
SIL4586Z. These models are fitted with a brazed filter drier).
We recommend replacing the copper washer if the drier is
changed as this washer ensures a leak tight joint.

When changing the filter drier, ensure that it is replaced with
an equivalent in capacity and pressure drop and with the
correct direction of flow.

- We hereby declare that Silensys condensing units comply
with the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/CE.

- CEI 335-I [ EN 60 335-I ]: Safety of electrical domestic
equipment and similar – General description.
- CEI 335-2-34 [ EN 60 335-2-34 ]: Safety of electrical
domestic equipment and similar – Specific regulations for
motor compressors.
- To incorporate our products into a machine, the Declaration
of Incorporation of the manufacturer must be observed. Our
condensing units are not required to comply with Pressure
Equipment Directive 97/23/CE as they are classified as a
compatible sub-assembly.
- Certificates of conformity are available on our website
www.tecumseh-europe.com and on request.
8- DECLARATION D'INCORPORATION
Only qualified staff are authorized to work on the condensing unit.
This product is defined as for installation in machines
according to European Directive 89/392/CEE.
It is not permitted to run the condensing unit before the
machine into which it is incorporated has been declared in
conformance with the pertaining legislation. The condensing
unit itself is therefore not required to comply with Directive
89/392/CEE.
