5. RADIO OPERATION

Displaying additional information for DAB and FM stations

The bottom line of the display (2) can be switched to show different information that may be
„
transmitted by a DAB/FM station.
Press the INFO (8) button repeatedly to change the information display while tuned to a
„
DAB/FM radio station.

Automatic and manual tuning to FM stations

To automatically tune to FM stations turn and hold SCROLL (12) to search for the next station in
„
the band.
To manually tune to FM stations, turn the SCROLL (12) shortly to move gradually in 0.05 MHz
„
steps.

Saving and selecting a preset station

Your radio can store up to each 10 stations in the memory, on the DAB and FM bands.
„
Tune to the station you want to save to the memory (
„
and manual tuning to FM stations).
Press and hold PRESET (7) until you see in display (2)
„
Choose the slot (1-10) with SCROLL (12) on the list to which you want to save the station and
„
confirm by pressing SELECT (9).
To select an already saved station, press PRESET (7), choose the station with SCROLL (12) and
„
confirm with SELECT (9).

Reset (AC operation only)

If moving the radio to another location in the country the pre-tuned and stored DAB stations may
„
no longer be available and it will be necessary to reset the radio back to the factory settings.
When the radio is switched on, press the MENU button and rotate the SCROLL control until the
„
display shows System and press the SELECT button, continue rotate the SCROLL control until
the display shows Factory Reset and press the SELECT button, on the display you now see
Factory Reset ? <No> Yes now rotate the SCROLL control to <Yes> and press the SELECT
button to confirm reset all settings to factory default.
The radio will display Restarting.... and will then switch into standby mode.

Note: all the settings including programmed stations will get lost.
„

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Appliance does not
work.
No sound.
Bad DAB/FM
reception.
Appliance does not
react to pressed

CLEANING AND CARE

Pull the power plug (14) from the wall outlet before cleaning.
„
Clean the exterior with a lightly damp cloth.
„
Do not use petrol, alcohol or other abrasive cleansers to clean the exterior.
„
Possible cause
Power adaptor (14) is not
connected properly.
Batteries are discharged and /
or not inserted correctly.
Volume is set too low.
Telescopic antenna (15) is not
pulled out.
Malfunction due to
electrostatic discharge.

Solution
Check if the power adaptor (14) is properly
connected to the DC IN 6V inlet (18) at the
back of the appliance and to a wall outlet.
Check if batteries are inserted correctly or
empty.
Increase the volume level.
Pull out completely and rotate the
antenna (15) for best reception.
Disconnect the appliance from the power
supply. Connect the power plug (14) again
to a wall outlet.
