24. Attention! In the event of a malfunction as a result of electrostatic discharge and momentary
electrical surges, unplug the appliance and plug it in again.
25. Ensure that children do not turn the volume too high.

Battery safety instructions

1. Danger of explosion! The batteries may not be charged, re-activated by other means,
disassembled, thrown into fire or short-circuited.
2. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures, like direct sunlight or fire. Do not place the
appliance on any heat source. Leaking battery acid may cause harm.
3. If batteries should leak, remove them with a cloth from the battery compartment. Dispose of
batteries according to the regulations. If battery acid has leaked avoid contact to skin, eyes
and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas immediately after contact with the acid and
wash with plenty of clean water. Visit a physician.
4. Caution! Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace batteries only with
the same or equivalent type. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types
or brands.
5. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to the polarities (+ and –) marked on the battery
and the battery compartment.
6. Swallowed batteries are lethal. Keep batteries out of reach of children and pets. Immediately
ask for medical assistance if a battery is swallowed.
7. Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
8. Exhausted batteries should be immediately removed from equipment and properly disposed of.
9. Remove the batteries if you will not be using the appliance for an extended period of time.
10. Batteries shall be stored in well-ventilated, dry and cool conditions.
11. Warning! Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn Hazard. This appliance supplied with a
remote control together with a coin / button cell battery. If the coin / button cell battery is
swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
12. Keep new and used battery away from children.
13. If the battery compartment cover does not close securely, stop using the appliance and keep it
away from children.
14. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek
immediate medical attention.

Environmental protection

Used batteries must not be disposed of through household garbage, since they might
contain toxic elements and heavy metals that can be harmful to the environment and human
health.
Consumers are therefore obligated to return batteries to retail or local collection facilities free
of charge. Used batteries will be recycled.
They contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicates: Batteries and rechargeable batteries must
not be disposed of through household garbage.
The symbols below the wheelie bin indicate:
Pb: Battery contains lead
Cd: Battery contains cadmium
Hg: Battery contains mercury
Discarded electric appliances are recyclable and should not be discarded in the domestic
waste! Please actively support us in conserving resources and protecting the environment
by returning this appliance to the collection centres.
