Operating the cable winch

Check whether the cable winch moves the wire rope forwards and
backwards.
›
Move the "Forward gear" lever in both directions.
The wire rope is moved forwards.
›
Move the "Forward gear" lever in both directions.
The wire rope is moved backwards.
If the wire rope is extended and retracted by the lever movements,
the cable winch is ready for operation.

Anchoring the cable winch

The cable winch contains a special anchor hole, an anchor pin and
a locking cotter pin at its tip; you must use these to anchor the cable
winch. To do this, you require round slings or steel ropes that you affix
to a tree or a fixed fitting.
To anchor the cable winch, proceed as follows:
If the anchor pin is still in the anchor hole:

Pull the locking cotter pin out of the anchor pin.
›
Pull the anchor pin out of the anchor hole.
To draw in the round sling:
›
Guide the round sling around a tree or a fixed fitting.
Risk of injury due to an incorrectly drawn in wire rope!
If the wire rope is guided below the anchor pin, malfunctions may
occur on the cable winch and these may cause injuries.
To guarantee that the wire rope runs freely:

Always guide the wire rope into the cable winch above the anchor pin.
