Intended use

The Nordforest cable winch is a device that is exclusively suitable
for pulling and tensioning loads. Lifting loads and conveying people
with the cable winch are prohibited. The cable winch is approved for use
in forestry, agriculture, industrial applications and private applications.
You may use the cable winch to fell or pull trees, to remove hindrances,
to clear machines, to retain and secure living space and livestock and
to set up or move devices.
The Nordforest cable winch is intended exclusively for operation by one
person. Two or more people must never work with the Nordforest
cable winch.
During this work, the performance limits of the cable winch must
always be observed (see "Technical specifications" on page 51).
Intended use also includes reading and understanding this manual
completely, and in particular the chapter "Safety instructions" on page
33.

Improper use

Any improper use is prohibited. Improper use includes
• converting or modifying the cable winch,
• any other use of the cable winch apart from those uses described
in the "Intended use" chapter,
• using the cable winch under operating conditions that deviate from
those specified in this manual.
Improper use of the cable winch voids all guarantee claims.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the cable winch
or for personal injuries that result from improper use.
