insTaLLaTiOn anD assEMBLy

The planer thicknesser weighs approximately 33 kg when it is fully assembled. The ma-
chine must be installed in a well-lit place with a power supply. To set it up:
1. Make sure there is enough space in the room to be able to work. Nobody should stand
in the working line of the wood when the machine is in use.
2. The machine may be mounted on its base. Please refer to the paragraph describing
how the base is to be assembled.
assEMBLy
Make sure that the machine is switched off and disconnected from the power source
before any assembly or adjustment operations.
assEMBLinG THE MaCHinE BasE
while assembling the base, you should not fully tighten the screws until the assembly
is complete.
1. Use the 24 illustrated bolts (A) Fig.5 to assemble the base.
2. Assemble a middle brace (d) Fig.5 between the two legs of the planer thicknesser
marked (C).
3. Fasten a second brace (d) to the second pair of machine legs.
4. Use 8 bolts, washers and nuts to fasten the last two braces (d) to the legs marked (C).
5. Use 8 bolts (A), washers (b) and nuts (C) Fig.6 to fasten each upper brace (b) Fig.5
to the top of the base.
6. Tighten all the bolts and place the base on its four legs.
fasTEninG THE MaCHinE TO THE BasE
1. Place the planer thicknesser on the base.
2. Line up the holes on the base with the corresponding holes located on the base of
the planer.
3. Fasten the machine to the base with the 4x Allen screws (F) Fig.6 provided, the
washers and the lock washers (E).
4. Tighten all the screws fully.
assEMBLinG THE fEnCE
1. Place the fence (8) Fig.4 on the right-hand side of the thicknessing table and the metal
plate (11) Fig.2.
2. This plate (A) is to be placed as shown in figure 6a and is used to block access to the
cutters. This is a safety component which MUST be fitted on the machine.
3. Then insert the two Allen screws (13) and the corresponding washers (14) Fig.2. Fas-
ten these screws (b) with the Allen key supplied, as shown in Fig.6a (one of the two Allen
screws can be seen in the figure).
assEMBLinG THE THiCKnEssEr GUarD
1. Place the blade guard (9) Fig.4 on the left-hand side of the thicknessing table.
2. Align the two holes of the arm with the two spindles located on the edge of the thicknessing table and position the knob that blocks the arm

OPEraTiOn
iMPOrTanT: This planer thicknesser is specially designed for planing solid wood, using only the cutters supplied by the manufacturer. After
thicknessing, the surface of the workpiece should be completely flat. While working with larger or heavier workpieces, the machine must be
attached securely to its base. The machine is not designed for outdoor use. do not use the machine for purposes other than those for which it
is designed. The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage or injury due to incorrect use; the user shall take sole responsibility for any risks.
1. The switch (7) Fig.4 of the machine is located on the left front of the machine. To switch the machine on: press the green «I» button; to
switch off the machine, press the red «O» button. The switch can be blocked by closing the yellow cover to prevent the machine from starting
up accidentally.
2. This machine has a thermal circuit breaker that protects the motor. In the event of a voltage overload, the machine stops automatically.
After the motor cools, the thermal circuit breaker automatically makes contact once again and the machine may then be restarted by pressing
the green switch.
Protect the unused part of the cutters with the guard supplied, so that you never come into contact with the cutters during rotation.
