aDDiTiOnaL safETy rULEs fOr PLanEr THiCKnEssErs

To make your machine more stable, secure it to a workbench or fasten the base of the machine to a board. If you regularly work with long
pieces of wood, it is advisable to use a mobile base. After assembling your machine, make sure it is safe before you start working.
1. Make sure there are no foreign objects - nails, screws, pebbles etc. - incorporated in the material you will be working upon.
2. do not attempt to adjust or clean the machine while it is connected to the power supply.
3. Check that the cutters are clean and sharp.
4. before starting your work, always check that the dust extraction outlet is not blocked by debris.
5. before using the machine, always check that the guards are in place and working correctly.
6. do not stand in front of the material infeed or outfeed areas, particularly when the machine is operating.
7. Never apply force on the machine; this could overheat the motor and block the shaft.
TransPOrT
Avoid impacts, high humidity and excessive vibrations during transport, as that could damage the machine. The machine withstands sto-
rage temperatures between -25 and +55°C.
1. wARNINg: dO NOT operate this machine before it is fully assembled and mounted according to the instructions.
2. IF yOU ARE NOT fully familiar with the operating of planer thicknessers, obtain the advice of the supervisor, instructor or any other
qualified person.
3. MAKE SURE that the wiring codes and instructions relating to the electrical connections are followed and that the machine is connected
to the earth.
4. dISCONNECT the machine before making any adjustments.
5. dISCONNECT the machine before starting any repairs.
6. NEVER switch the machine on before clearing the table of any objects (tools, pieces of wood etc.)
7. KEEP the cutter blades sharp and free of rust and pitch.
8. NEVER work without the guard.
9. KEEP your fingers and hands away from the cutting area
10. NEVER put your hands below the cutter block when the machine is running.
11. KEEP your fingers and hands away from the chip removal opening. The cutter block turns at very high speeds.
12. NEVER feed the workpiece from the outfeed side of the machine.
13. ALwAyS keep the workpiece adequately supported.
14. whILE working on very long pieces, make sure that they are supported at the infeed and outfeed at table height.
15. NEVER start up the machine while the workpiece is touching the cutter block.
16. MAKE SURE that the workpiece is free of nails or other foreign bodies that could lead to injuries or damage to the cutter blades.
17. MAKE SURE that the blades are secured to the cutter block as explained in the instructions for use, before starting up the machine.
18. ALwAyS allow the cutter block to reach its maximum speed before using the machine.
19. IF, dURINg USE, the machine tends to tip over, slip or move, SECURE IT TO ThE SUPPORTINg SURFACE.
20. bEFORE leaving the machine, make sure that the working area is clean.
21. If any part of the machine is missing, damaged or faulty or if an electrical part does not work correctly, switch off the machine and dis-
connect it from the power socket. Replace the missing, damaged or faulty part(s) before restarting the machine.
22. PLEASE KEEP ThESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE. Refer to them frequently and use them to inform other users.
23. This machine is designed in accordance with applicable safety regulations. In order to avoid hazardous situations, the machine may
only be repaired and maintained by a qualified or competent person.
