➤ Connect your cooler
– as directly as possible to the pole of the battery or
– to a plug socket which is fuse protected with at least 15 A (at 12 V)
or 7.5 A (at 24 V).
Caution!
Disconnect the cooler and other consumer units from the battery
before you connect the battery to a quick charging device.
Overvoltage can damage the electronics of the device.
For safety reasons the cooler is equipped with an electronic system to
prevent the polarity reversal. This protects the cooler against short-circuiting
when connecting to a battery.
Connecting to a 110–240 V AC mains (only for the FR-145AC/DC)
Danger of fatal injuries!
Never handle plugs and switches with wet hands or if you are
standing on a wet surface.
If you are operating your cooler on board a boat with a mains
connection of 110–240 V from the land, you must install a residual
current circuit breaker between the 110–240 V AC mains supply
and the cooler.
Seek advice from a trained technician.
Your cooler is equipped with an integrated multi-voltage mains adapter
(110–240 V) and can be connected directly to an AC mains. The integrated
mains adapter has a priority circuit that switches over to mains operation
if you connect the cooler to an AC mains while the DC connection cable is
still connected.
