in the source device
Volume of the active loudspeaker is
set too low
Volume of the active loudspeaker is
set too high
Channel selector switch not in the
correct position
The channel selector switches are
set to the same channel on both
loudspeakers
Contact problems in the signal
connections (e.g. RCA connectors,
adapters for cable extensions)
Hum from source, ground loop
through multiple RCA connections
Hiss from source
There may be devices on the market
which provide too high output level
(e.g. OPPO-based Blu-ray players)
Solution
Check mains plugs and socket.
Set power switch to "ON".
Check input connections, change (RCA) cables, check
source signal (does a different audio component play
correctly through the same input?).
Increase the volume using the remote control.
Deactivate mute using the remote control.
Set the Transmitter ID of the loudspeaker to the same
TX ID (A, B, or C) as the transmitter (AIR-X BASE).
Use the remote control to select the input channel
to which you source that you want to listen to is con-
nected (SOURCE 1, 2, 3 or 4).
Check and increase the level setting on the source
device.
Increase the digital output level of your source device.
Turn down the output level from the source to ap-
prox. 50%; increase the volume of the active loud-
speaker using the remote control until the sound in
the room is at a comfortable volume.
First set the volume of the active loudspeaker to
minimum; turn up the output level from the source to
approx. 50%; now increase the volume of the active
loudspeaker using the remote control until the sound
in the room is at a comfortable volume.
Select the correct channels on all loudspeakers.
Select the correct channel on each loudspeaker ("L"
for left loudspeaker, "R" for right loudspeaker).
Check all connections; to prevent loud noise in the
event of major faults, reduce the volume of the active
loudspeaker to a low setting; the outer rings of the
RCA connectors may need to be adjusted.
Check the active loudspeaker for internal hum: Switch
the power switch to "OFF"; disconnect all input cables,
switch power "ON", normal settings. A soft hum
should now be audible with your ear held close to the
loudspeakers, but not from the listening position.
Check the active loudspeaker for internal hiss: Switch
the power switch to "OFF"; disconnect all input cables,
switch power "ON", normal settings. A soft hiss should
now be audible with your ear held close to the loud-
speakers, but not from the listening position.
Adjust the output level of your source to a max. value
of 2 Volts. In case of doubt contact the manufacturer
support.
