Residual risks
Even with proper use of the product and when heed-
ing all safety instructions in these instructions for
use, the following residual risks can arise:
• Touching the tool in the area which is not cov-
ered.
• Reaching into the running tool.
• No slip clutch! Rebound of the machine grip han-
dles if the tool becomes jammed.
• Inhaling of dust.
• Inhaling of exhaust fumes.
• Skin contact with fuel.
• Flying stones.

Wear sturdy shoes when working with the
product.

Wear protective gloves when working
with the product.
Cover long hair or wear a hair net if neces-
sary.

Assembly

– Push the required drill (9) onto the drive shaft of
the drilling device.
– Secure the drill by pushing the safety cotter
pin (8) through the drill and the drive shaft and
locking as illustrated.
Using for the first time
Filling with fuel
DANGER! Risk of injury! Petrol is highly
inflammable!
Before refuelling, switch off the motor and
let it cool down.
Closely observe all safety information for
handling fuel.
Note: Use only appropriate fuel (► Usable
fuel-oil mixture – p. 19).
– Open and remove the tank cover (10).
– Carefully top up the fuel (fill quantity ► Technical
data – p. 19). Do not spill!
– Check the seal in the tank cover for damage and
clean if necessary. Replace a damaged seal
immediately!
– Re-tighten the tank cover (10) by hand.
Operation
Check before starting!
DANGER! Risk of injury! The product
must only be put into operation if no
defects are found. Ensure that any defec-
tive parts are replaced before the product is
used again.
Check the safe condition of the product:
– Check whether there are any visible defects.
– Check whether all parts of the product are firmly
attached.
