6. Machine operation
Support long workpieces with helping
roller stands.
Work only with a sharp and flawless
sawblade.
Don´t take measurements or
adjustments when the machine is
running
Don´t chuck too short in vice.
Lubricate the bandsaw blade with a
few drops of cutting oil.
Don´t cut magnesium-
high danger to fire!
This band saw is designed for dry
cutting operations only.
Verify that all guards, covers, etc. are
in place and in working order, the
blade is tensioned properly, and the
blade guides are set correctly.
Place workpiece in vise and tighten
vise. The workpiece should be fitted
directly between the jaws without
adding other objects.
Never hold a workpiece by hand when
cutting it
the workpiece should be
firmly secured in the vise.
Do not reach into the cutting area
during cutting operations.
Push the green ON-button to start
blade movement
Open the valve on the hydraulic
cylinder to allow the saw arm to
descend in a controlled manner.
The machine will shut off at the
completion of the cut.
Remove the workpiece.
Close the hydraulic cylinder valve, and
raise the bow in preparation for the
next cut.
7. Setup and adjustments
General note:
Setup and adjustment work may
only be carried out after the
machine is protected against
accidental starting by pulling the
mains plug.
7.1 Changing blade speed
The general rule is the harder the
material being cut, the slower the
blade speed.
20 m/min
for tool steel, alloy steel and bearing
bronzes.
30 m/min
for mild steel, hard brass or bronze.
50 m/min
for soft brass, aluminium or other light
materials.
Disconnect the machine from the
power source.
Place saw arm in the horizontal
position.
Loosen tension lock.
Open pulley cover and place the belt
on the desired pulley combination.
Tension the belt ( do not over tighten).
Close the pulley cover and connect to
power source.

7.2 Changing sawblade

Disconnect the machine from the
power source.
The sawblade has to meet the
technical specification.
Check sawblade for flaws (cracks,
broken teeth, bending) before
installation. Do not use faulty
sawblades.
Always wear suitable gloves when
handling sawblades.
Vertical Saw Arm Position
The band saw can be placed in vertical
position to facilitate blade changes,
maintenance, etc.
Unscrew the knob (Fig 7) to disengage
the cylinder.

Raise the saw arm to the vertical
position.
Open the wheel cover.

Remove the red blade guards.
Release the blade tension and remove
the blade.
Place new blade and make sure the
teeth are pointing the cutting direction
(Fig 9).

Turn the blade tension knob (B, Fig 8)
until the proper blade tension is
achieved.
Place a few drops of lightweight oil on
the blade.
Install the red blade guards and the
wheel cover.
Warning:
It is essential that the two red
guards and the wheel cover are
installed after the new blade has
been fitted. Failure to comply may
cause serious injury!
Connect to the power source.
7.3 Blade guides adjustment
Disconnect the machine from the
power source.
