2.2 Conduct at the Place of Work
Keep your place of work tidy. Untidiness

can lead to accidents.
Give consideration to environmental influ-

ences. Ensure good lighting (min. 500
lux).
Protect yourself against electric shock.

Power sockets must be protected by re-
sidual-current circuit breakers.
Keep other people away from your place

of work. Work in a concentrated and sen-
sible manner.

Store the fish scaler in a safe place. Store

Check that all wrenches have been re-
moved before starting the machine.
Use only original EFA accessories. Use of

Holes must never be drilled in the motor

housing (e.g. for attachment of name-
plates). Use adhesive labels for marking
the equipment.
Modifications and changes to the machine

are not permitted and exonerate S&W of
any warranty and liability.
3 Starting Up and Operation-
al Safety
Place of work
The working area for the operator should be
at least 15 square feet.
The illumination at the place of work must be
at least 500 lux.

3.1 Initial Operation

3.1.1 Spring balancer
The fish scaler is operated without a spring
balancer.
3.1.2 Electrical connection
The fish scaler can be operated following
connection to the power supply via a power
adapter plug (refer to Annex). The power
adapter plug must be connected in accord-
ance with the applicable VDE regulations and
