4. Setting up the filtration system
Installing filter materials and flexible hose or PVC piping

Before removing the pump motor cover or the lid to the terminal box on the pump motor the electrical plug must be

removed from the outlet and the system cut off from the power supply.
For a flexible cable to the power mains, use the HO5RN-F (indoors) or HO7RN-F (outdoor), with a minimum cross

4.1 Setting up the filtration system
Place the two supplied stainless steel screws, each with a washer, into the drilled holes in the pallet, then secure the filtration pump (with the
suction connexion and hose grommet in the Plexiglas cover facing left) with the nuts. Arrange the filter pump such that it is facing forward from
the viewpoint of an observer, and the suction connexion (hose grommet in the Plexiglas cover) is pointing left. Then place the filter container into
the four receiver openings in the pallet with the pump connexion (GRAY hose nipple ø 38mm, in the 6-way central valve from the pump ("from
pump")) facing forward. In doing this, check to ensure that the threaded PVC cap with seal is securely tightened to the container drain (in the
centre of the container base). >>> Figures 1, 2
4.2 Filling the filter material
Open the turnbuckle on the fill opening and remove the tension ring after opening; lift off the cover with O-ring (round cord seal).
Once this has been completed, check to ensure that the bottom strainer is correctly positioned and that the separation wall for the purified water
chamber is seated properly. In doing so, please note that the guide tracks on the bottom strainer grating are a continuation of the side-mounted
guide tracks on the container wall. The separation wall has to be slid onto these tracks with by the side-mounted positioning hooks on its upper
edge so that the upper edge of the wall abuts with the upper container edge. >>> Figures 3, 4, 5
To prevent damage to the container and the bottom strainer, the container should be filled with 20-30 cm of water before

After that, fill the filter material.
The filter material consists of double-fired quartz sand that has to be ordered separately. The quartz sand must have a grain size of 0.40 mm to
0.80 mm or 0.71 mm to 1.25 mm and be in accordance with DIN, EN 12904.
Carefully re-seal the container. The receiving surface of the sealing ring (O-ring) as well as the O-ring itself should be cleansed of all sand and
dirt and lightly greased with Vaseline. Ensure that the seal is seated properly.
It is important to ensure that sand is not over-filled and that no sand is permitted to enter the purified water camber, as

this can cause deposits in the swimming pool.
Place the filter cover on the rear container edge, such that the pump connexion (GRAY hose nipple ø 38mm, in the 6-way central valve from the
pump ("from pump")) faces forward. Press the locking nose on the cover (between the two openings) into the middle locking clip in the purified
water chamber; doing this ensures that the pads on the cover close simultaneously.
Slide the tension ring over the container and cover flange and tighten it down.
