IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

• Make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the values stated on the product's rating plate. Use grounded wall outlets
only.
• The unit reaches high temperatures during operation and remains hot for some time after being turned off. Do not
touch the hot surfaces. Use the handles and buttons. There is a risk of burning.
• The unit may not be cleaned, stored, and covered until it has cooled down completely.
• Do not leave the unit unattended while it is turned on or even only plugged into the wall outlet.
• Never carry the unit during operation or while hot. Do not carry the unit by holding the power cord.
• When disconnecting the unit from the wall outlet, never pull the power cord. Grasp the plug and disconnect it by
pulling.
• Do not allow children or unskilled people to handle the unit. Use the unit out of the reach of these individuals.
• Take extra care when using the unit near children.
• Persons with limited movement capacity, reduced sensory perception, insufficient mental capacity or those who are
unaware of the proper handling should only use the appliance when under the supervision of a responsible person
aware of the appliance use.
• Turn off the unit, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, and let the unit cool down before cleaning and
after use.
• Do not let the power cord hang loosely over the edge of a table. Make sure the power cord does not touch hot
surfaces.
• The unit may only be installed on a stable surface resistant to high temperatures away from other heat sources, such
as heating bodies, ovens, and so on. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or moisture.
• Do not use the unit in environments with explosive gases or flammable substances (solvents, vanishes, adhesives, etc.).
• Caution – Bread may ignite! When using the unit, keep a sufficient space around and above the unit to ensure
sufficient air circulation. Do not let the unit come into contact with curtains, wall linings, textile, paper, or other
combustible materials while in operation. In addition, it is not recommended to install the unit near or under the
above materials. Do not put any of these materials on top of the unit.
• Do not use the unit without the extensible crumb tray. The tray shall be cleaned regularly. Do not allow crumbs to
accumulate on the tray. They could touch the heating body and ignite.
• Do not insert any metal objects into the unit. Do not use knives, forks, or any other metal kitchen implements for
removing toast or crumbs. These could cause a fire or a short-circuit. There is a risk of injury.
• Do not prepare any food containing jam or marmalade in the unit.
• Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive substances to clean the unit.
• Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly, if it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to any liquids. Refer
the unit to an authorized service center for testing and repair.
• Never use an appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Contact an authorized service center immediately to
have the defective components repaired or replaced.
• The unit is not designed for outdoor use.
