2.
Open the detector cover.
3.
Remove batteries from the holder, pulling the ribbon in the
battery compartment if necessary.
4.
Observing the polarity markings that are engraved inside
the battery compartment, insert batteries into the battery
compartment.
Dispose of batteries as required by local ordinances or
regulations.
See "Specifications" on page 6 or contact technical support for
information on replacement batteries.

Installation
To install the camera:
1.
Lift off the custom insert (Figure 3, item 1).
2.
Using a screwdriver, unlock the base plate lock (Figure 3,
item 2).
3.
Remove the mounting plate (Figure 3, item 3).
4.
Fix the base to the wall between 1.8 and 3.0 m from the
floor.
See Figure 4.
- For flat mounting, use a minimum of two screws
(DIN 7998) in positions A.
- For corner mounting, use screws in position B or C.
5.
Remove or modify the blinders, if required. See
"Configuring the coverage pattern" below for more details.
6.
Insert batteries.
The LED indicates that the camera is powered up. See
"Detector modes and LED states" on page 5 for details. If
the camera is ready to learn-in, the red LED goes on for
1 minute.
Note:
When taking pictures more frequently (for example,
daily), we recommend to use 12 VDC power supply
instead of battery operated configuration.
If 12 VDC power supply is used, connect its wires to 12 V
terminals on the mounting plate (Figure 4, item 3). Add a
cable-tie for pull relief.
When the external 12 VDC power supply is connected, the
battery supply is disabled and its voltage level is not
monitored. Battery is enabled and its low voltage detection
is active only when the external 12 V power supply is
disconnected. This configuration is not approved for
EN 50131 compliant systems.
For required power supply types, see "Specifications" on
page 6.

7.
Learn the wireless camera in.
Add a wireless zone using the Zone menu of the Advisor
Advanced control panel.
If learning-in has been successful, the red LED goes on
for 15 s, and then the green LED is lit.
If the wireless camera is powered with 12 V, use batteries
for learning-in purposes. After a successful learning-in
batteries can be removed.
See Advisor Advanced Installation and Programming
Manual for details.
Configuring the coverage pattern
Caution:
Do not touch the pyroelectric sensor.
To configure the coverage pattern and range:
1.
Remove the detector from the mounting plate (Figure 8,
item 1).
2.
Remove the mirror assembly (Figure 8, item 2).
3.
Remove the blinders completely if necessary. The
modified pattern is shown in Figure 9.
Note:
If both blinders are installed, the detector range is
limited to 6 m (default).
4.
Modify the pattern by breaking out blinder parts (shown as
grey in Figure 9). The corresponding curtain fragments are
shown in Figure 9.
5.
Mount the modified mirror assembly.
Install the camera as described in "Installation" above.
6.
Walk testing the detector
See Advisor Advanced Installation and Programming Manual
for details.
Troubleshooting
If an associated control panel or ATS1238 expander goes
offline for a few minutes due to a power supply loss, the
wireless PIR camera activates a mechanism to save battery
current. Once the panel and wireless expander power supply
restores, it may take some time for the HDR link to recover. To
speed this process up, activate camera tamper.
