1.1 Monitor (figs. 1 and 2)

2 Safety Notes

This unit corresponds to the directive for electromag-
netic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly connect-
ed, operated, or not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which
is not harmful to the environment.
3 Applications
This swivelling LCD colour monitor in TFT active
matrix technology is designed for suspended installa-
tion. It offers a sharp, quick and high-contrast picture
display in 7 different formats.
The monitor is designed for connecting two video
sources. Both PAL and NTSC video sources can be
used. The monitor is suitable for universal applica-
tions, e. g. in video surveillance systems or for multi-
media applications. A remote control is supplied with
the unit.
4 Setting the Monitor into Operation
4.1 Mounting
For suspended installation (see fig. 1), the monitor is
supplied with a mounting plate including screws.
1) Fasten the mounting plate to the ceiling by means
of the four large screws. For this purpose, use four
of the oblong bore holes in the mounting plate.
2) For leading out the lines (8, 9), place them into the
matching cable guides (see fig. 2).
3) Screw the monitor to the mounting plate via its moni-
tor support (2) by means of the four small screws.
4.2 Connection
1) Connect the mini DIN inline jack of the monitor
cable (8) to the mini DIN plug of the supplied cable.
2) It is possible to connect two video sources (cam-
eras, DVD players etc.):
Connect the yellow phono plug to the video out-
put of the first video source and the white phono
plug to the video output of the second video source.
3) Apply the 12 V
operating voltage:
a for the power supply of the monitor to the black
and red lines of the connection cable;
b for the power supply of the lamps (1) to the black
and red lines (9) of the lamp part.
