2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektroma-
gnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der Nie-
derspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
•
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in trockenen
Räumen geeignet.
•
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0–40 °C).
•
Die in dem Gerät entstehende Wärme muß durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Darum dürfen
die Lüftungsschlitze des Gehäuses nicht mit
irgendwelchen Gegenständen abgedeckt werden.
•
Nichts durch die Lüftungsschlitze stecken oder fal-
len lassen! Dabei kann es zu einem elektrischen
Schlag kommen.
•
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen, und sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt geben.
•
Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung darf nur
durch den Hersteller oder durch eine autorisierte
Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.
•
Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
•
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch ange-
schlossen, nicht richtig bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht repariert, kann für eventuelle Schäden keine
Haftung übernommen werden.
2 Safety Notes
This appliance corresponds to the directive 89/336/
EEC for electromagnetic compatibility and the low
voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
This unit uses lethally high voltage (230 V~). To
prevent a shock hazard do not open the cabinet.
Leave servicing to authorized skilled personnel
only. Besides, any guarantee claim expires if the
unit has been opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:
•
The unit is suitable for indoor use only.
•
Protect the unit against humidity and heat (permis-
sible operating temperature range 0–40°C).
•
The heat which is generated in the unit has to be
carried off via air circulation. Therefore, do not
cover the air vents of the housing with anything.
•
Do not insert or drop anything into the air vents!
This could result in electric shock.
•
Do not take the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can be seen,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
•
A damaged mains cable must only be repaired by
the manufacturer or authorized skilled personnel.
•
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is operated or connected in the
wrong way or not repaired by authorized skilled
personnel, there is no liability for possible damage.
•
Only use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning, by no means
chemicals or water.
•
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
bring it to a local recycling plant for disposal.
•

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac-
cordance with the following code:
•

3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Monitor ist speziell für den Einsatz in Video-
Überwachungsanlagen konzipiert. Mehrere Moni-
tore lassen sich zu einer Monitorkette verbinden, um
so an verschiedenen Stellen oder durch mehrere
Personen eine Überwachung zu ermöglichen.
4 Monitor anschließen
1) Den Videoeingang IN (9) über ein 75-Ω-Koaxial-
kabel an den Ausgang der Überwachungkamera
bzw. des Kamera-Umschalters oder des Video-
Splitters anschließen.
2) Sollen zur parallelen Überwachung mehrere
Monitore aufgestellt werden, immer den Video-
ausgang OUT (10) über ein 75-Ω-Koaxialkabel
mit dem Videoeingang IN (9) des nächsten Moni-
tors verbinden.
An die Buchse OUT läßt sich aber auch alter-
nativ ein Videorecorder anschließen, um gleich-
zeitig das Bild aufzuzeichnen.
3) Den Impedanzumschalter (12) in die folgende
Position schieben:
75 Ω
wenn kein Gerät am Videoausgang OUT
(10) angeschlossen ist
HIGH wenn ein weiteres Gerät am Ausgang
OUT angeschlossen ist
4) Zum Schluß den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and yel-
low.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
3 Applications
The monitor has especially be designed for the use
in video monitoring systems. Several monitors may
be connected in series for monitoring at different
places or by several persons.
4 Connection of the Monitor
1) Connect the video input IN (9) via a 75 Ω coaxial
cable to the output of the monitoring camera resp.
of the camera switcher or the video splitter.
2) If for parallel monitoring several monitors are to
be set up, always connect the video output OUT
(10) via a 75 Ω coaxial cable with the video input
IN (9) of the next monitor.
To the jack OUT a video recorder may be
connected at option for simultaneous recording of
the picture.
3) Set the impedance switch (12) into the following
position:
