Mounting / Commissioning

– Make sure that the 10-pole plug connector of UP device
6109U-500 has been placed such that the UP-EIB
application has the desired mounting position.
– The physical address of the UP-EIB application is set
via the 6109U-500. For this purpose follow the
instructions in „Commissioning" for the UP-EIB appli-
cation to be plugged in. Instructions also include notes
on how the application's parameters are to be set.
– No external voltage source must have been applied
to the contacts of switches and pushbuttons!
– Make sure to insulate or cut off free cable ends!
The unit has been prepared for installation in commercially
available flush-type mounting boxes using the carrier ring
(Fig., Item 5).
– Connect the 6109U-500 from its rear side (Fig., Item 1)
with the EIB bus line (use bus terminal!). Make sure
the polarity is correct (red=+; grey=–).
– Install the connecting leads for the binary inputs and
finally mount and secure the unit in the flush-type
mounting box.
