AXIS 233D Installation Guide
Referring to the image for Hard Ceiling Mount, follow these instructions to mount the dome
camera:
1. Secure the bracket to the ceiling with four ST4.2 screws and plugs. (Figure A)
2. Attach one end of the safety wire to the bracket and the other end to the AXIS 233D
using an M4 screw and nut. (Figure B)
3. Insert four M4 screws (2 screws on each side) partially into the camera base.(Figure
C)
4. Insert the AXIS 233D into the bracket and tighten the captive screw allowing you to
free your hands to tighten the four screws in the screw slots (two on each side) on the
AXIS 233D.(Figure D)
5. Connect the network cable.
6. Connect the power cable to the connection block (see Power connections, on page
10)
7. Slide the decoration ring on to the AXIS 233D and lock into place by tightening two
M3 screws into the bracket. Take care to place the side with the open slot over the
connection blocks for cables.(Figure E)
8. The hardware installation is now complete, proceed to Assign an IP address, on page
11 to install the AXIS 233D on your network.
