Operating the Distance Meter

 Once the batteries have been installed, the device is ready for use.
 When using the device, secure it to prevent dropping by placing
your hand through the hand strap.
 Clasp the Distance Meter so that the back rests in the palm of
your hand and you are able to operate the keypad [E] with your
thumb. The Distance Meter can be operated with either the right
or left hand.

Signal tones

A brief signal tone confirms every time a button is pushed or a
function is carried out without error. An extended signal tone will
only sound in the event of a fault and when shutting the meter
down.
