If only NC contacts or NO contacts are used
without inserting the 1 kΩ resistor R 1 into the
alarm loop, set the switch INPUT TYPE to the posi-
tion NC or NO.
It is recommended, however, to insert the 1 kΩ
resistors in order to obtain differential alarm loops.
A short circuit or an interruption in such an alarm
loop will also trigger an alarm (tamper message).
5) Connect the video inputs of the monitors to the
jacks VIDEO OUT (8).
6) If alarm devices are connected to the terminals
ALARM IN (2), their alarm information will be avail-
able at the terminals ALARM OUT (9)

They have a maximum power rating of 1 A and
30 V .
7) If the transmission cable is interrupted, there will be
12 V (150 mA max.) for alarm triggering at the ter-
minals "Link Fault" (12)
e. g. to an alarm device or to the alarm control
panel.
8) Finally connect the power supply unit to the jack
DC POWER IN (15) and the mains plug to a socket
(100 – 240 V~ / 50 – 60 Hz). The green power LED
on the power supply unit will light up.
If the system is not used for a longer period, dis-
connect the mains plug from the socket; otherwise
there will always be a low current consumption.
5 Operation / Indicating LEDs
Switch on the transmission system with the ON/ OFF
switch (14) on the receiver. The LEDs on the transmit-
ter and on the receiver will light up as follows:
LED POWER STATUS (5) on the transmitter
red = transmitter in operation
yellow = supply voltage too low
LED POWER LINK (13) on the receiver
red = operating voltage applied,
receiver switched off
green = correct operation of the system
yellow = initialization of the connection to the
transmitter
(for a few seconds after switching on)
flashing = connection to the transmitter interrupted
In case of alarm, the LEDs ALARM (3, 10) will light up.
