FIXING THE GATEWAY ASSEMBLY, USING THE
RAV SERIES:
The Gateway device may be sited in any convenient
indoor position though it is recommended that it be
situated as close as possible to the indoor unit.
It may be wall mounted, fixed in ceiling voids or
incorporated into a control panel or similar
enclosure; details of dimensions and fixing centres
together with cable entry points are outlined in
Figure 5 of the Dimensions section.
WIRING THE GATEWAY TO THE INDOOR UNITS,
USING THE RAV SERIES:
Connect a 230V AC supply to the IEC Plug supplied and
then connect the plug to the Gateway using the retaining
clip. Interconnect the XY terminals on the Gateway PCB to
the XY terminals on each indoor unit, using 2 core screened
cable. Ensure continuity of the screen throughout and
connect one end of the screen only to the earth at the
terminal provided on the Windows
connect any other part of the screen to earth to avoid
possible signal degradation. See Figure 1.

XY terminals on the outdoor unit (master outdoor unit – inverter), using 2 core screened
cable. Ensure continuity of the screen throughout and connect one end of the screen only to
the earth at the terminal provided on the Windows
of the screen to earth to avoid possible signal degradation. See Figure 2.
SETTING THE INDOOR UNIT ADDRESSES:
Before the system can work with the Windows
addresses. Allocate one address number from 1 to a maximum of 64 to each of the indoor
units. This series of numbers must be sequential and can be in any order i.e. if the Gateway
is connected to 20 units, the address must be 1 to 20.
Two units should not be set to the same number. We recommend that the layout is recorded
using the tables at the end of this manual.
