Supplement to operating instructions for balances with integrated
Ethernet interface
If the balance has this built-in option, this additional interface may be used to couple the
balance to the respective local network.
With the help of this interface the user can access the balance from the entire local
network. As before, the same functionality (SICS commands) is available via the serial
interface.
For details of these SICS interface commands please refer to the chapter "interface
description" in the operating instructions for the balance.
For the connection to the network you will require the information and support of your local
network administrator. The configuration shown below should be entered by your network
administrator.
For this purpose, in the balance must be set the following adjustments.
The navigation through the menu can be seen in the balance instructions.
Installation:
Generally the Ethernet option under the menu item Option is shown as non-installable.
This characterization applies to all options and is intended to provide the user with a quick
overview of all available options.

Notice: After the initial installation of the ETHERNET option, configuration is not possible
before it has been enabled via the SICS command SOP.
The supply voltage for the Ethernet option, too, is turned on/off via the SICS command
SOP (SET option). The syntax is shown in the overview below.
