Unpacking

Carefully unpack the garden shredder box
and check that it is complete. Dispose of the
packaging material correctly.
1. Remove the shredder from the
packaging.
2. Pull the collector box (16) out of the
chassis (15) and take out the shredder
unit (14) and accessories.
3. Check the scope of delivery.

Assembling the shredder

(1) Insert the wheel shaft (20) into
the chassis (15) and put the inner
washers (17) on both sides.
(2) Assemble the two wheels (2) on
the wheel shaft (1), fix its by outer
washers (18) and cotter pins (19)
(3) Clip in the wheel covers ( 20) into
the wheels (2) with a audible clik.
(4) Fix the shredder unit (14) onto

the chassis (15) with the four self-
tapping screws enclosed and
philips screwdriver (not provided).

(5) To insert the collector box (16),
the safety switch (3) must be
unlocked, i.e. in the "OFF"
position. Push the collector box
(16) into the chassis (15), the
collector box (16) can be pushed
in only in one direction.
(6) Lock the collector box (16) by
pulling the safety switch (3) to the
ON position.

Power-On indicator

The Power-On indicator (12) will light when
all three following conditions are met:
1. Collector box (16) and safety switch (3)
are in proper position
2. The device is connected to the mains
supply

3. The overload protection has not been
triggered. (See respective section.)
The device will not operate while the Power-
On indicator (12) is off.

Operation

Start-up

Before starting the shredder, make sure that
the shredder unit (14) is firmly attached to
the chassis (15) and the collector box (16)
and safety switch (3) are in their proper
positions.
The shredder cannot be switched
on before the collector box (16) and
safety switch (3) are in their proper
positions.
Switching the shredder on and
off
Make sure that the mains power
voltage agrees with the type plate
on the shredder.

1. Connect the extension cable to
the socket (5). Check that the
Power-On indicator (12) turns on.
2. Check that the funnel feeder (7) is
empty.
3. To switch on in continuous mode
for shredding, press the function
switch (8) downwards. Then,
press the "ON" switch (9) to start
shredding material. To switch
off, press the "OFF" switch (10).
Always move the function switch
(8) back into the middle neutral
position.
