Operate the toaster only in
upright position and never
without the crumb collec-
tion tray.
Slices of bread up to a maximum
thickness of 14mm can be toast-
ed. Slices of bread that are too
thick or too large can easily be-
come jammed in the toasting slot.

1. Insert the mains plug (3) into a
properly installed socket.
2. Place the slices of bread into
the toasting slots (2).
3. Use the controller (5) to select
the toasting setting required.
Adjustment is continuous be-
tween 1 and 6.
Light: select a lower setting.
Dark: select a higher setting.
If you are toasting just one slice
of bread, the toasting setting
should be lower than for toast-
ing two slices.
4. Push the lifting lever (9) down.
5. The toaster starts to heat up,
and the operating indicator
light in the stop button (6)
comes on.
6. Once the toasting setting
is reached, the lifting lever
springs back into its original

position and the slices of toast
are pushed out of the toasting
slots. The indicator light in the
stop button goes out and the
toaster switches off.
7. Remove the slices of toast.
8. To achieve even toasting for
several slices of toast, wait
about 1 to 1.5 minutes be-
tween toasting.
Diff erences in types of
bread, moisture and thick-
ness of individual slices aff ect
how the bread toasts.
– Toast brown bread at a higher
setting than white bread.
– Stale, dry bread toasts quicker
than fresh bread.
