the fireplace is lit. You may find it useful to use a fireplace screen.
3. Do not pour flammable liquids or place combustible materials in the wood-burning stove. This could irreparably damage
the wood-burning stove.
4. If the floor around the fireplace is made from combustible material, use a floor plate.
5. The fireplace must not be built in.
6. The back of the fireplace must be at a distance of least 10 cm from a non-combustible wall.
7. Do not place any combustible materials, such as curtains, wooden objects (cupboards, paintings), near the wood-burning
stove or the flue. Maintain a distance of at least 100 cm from the outside of the fireplace and the chimney flue.
8. Ensure the all safety distances referred to are maintained.
9. Keep the points under the heading "Optimal combustion mode" on page 20 in mind.
10. Only allow the fireplace to be repaired by a registered installation engineer, and only replace parts with originals.

Guarantee

WANDERS Metaalproducten B.V. from Netterden, the Netherlands offers a 5-year guarantee from the date of purchase,
provided the fireplace is installed properly and used in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Only defects that can
be traced to material and workmanship faults are covered under this guarantee. In such a case, you will receive new parts
free of charge. Labour and other costs are not covered by the guarantee. Defective parts can be returned postage paid to
WANDERS Metaalproducten B.V., Amtweg 4, 7077 AL, Netterden, the Netherlands.
Before the fireplace is installed, you must check it for any visible damage. In the event there is damage, you must not accept
the fireplace but contact your supplier.
The following items are not covered by the guarantee: the glass; faults caused by improper use; non-compliance with national
regulations and the accompanying installation and operating instructions; installation by an installation engineer or dealer
who is not recognised by WANDERS; neglect of the fireplace/stove; and upon change of owner. The guarantee is also invalid
if the wrong type of fuel is used.
The following parts are subject to a guarantee period of 1 year: all cast iron, (cast) concrete and vermiculite components, and
the paint.
WANDERS is not responsible for any cracks in decorative plaster work and/or any discolouration of walls, ceilings and/or grates
after lighting the fireplace. Discolourations occur because dust particles burn in the convection casing. To reduce the chance
of cracks in decorative plaster work, and to minimise any discolouration, please refer to the advice provided by the fireplace
industry. Your installation engineer can provide you with more information about this.
The Pecan Eco components are made of different materials, and are processed and coloured using various
methods. WANDERS does not guarantee that there will be no colour differences in the various components.
The soapstone is a natural product. It is possible that there may be hairline cracks in the material. There
may also be light colour differences between the different panels. This is not important with regard to the
proper functioning of the wood-burning stove, and is therefore not covered by the guarantee.
Complaints will be processed after the dealer or installation engineer has submitted a complaint, together with the date
of purchase and a copy of the purchase receipt. Repairs do not provide a right to extension of the guarantee period. All
consequential damage is excluded.
