EN Floor milling machine BEF 320EX / BEF 320VX
4 Maintenance
If the milling depth is too great and the milling
discs go through to the multi‐disc rods, then this
can be noticed by increased vibrations (!
Chapter 4.3 ‐ page 22).
Fine adjustment:
Milling depth lever
Milling depth lever
1 rotation = 1.5 mm.
8.
Hold the machine by the guide handle.
9.
Pull latch lever [18, Fig. C] against the lift le
ver [16, Fig. C].
10. Swivel the lift lever forwards.
The rotating milling rotor is lowered to the set
milling depth on the surface to be milled.
The set milling depth is not changed by the lift
lever (quick lift).
If the machine is accelerated by the milling rotor:
Press EMERGENCY STOP button!
End operation (! Chapter 3.3 ‐ page 21)!
The forward drive is defective (chain broken?).
Risk of injury from uncontrolled movement in
reverse!
Always walk in the direction that the machine is
running!
When moving the machine in reverse, the ope
rator should always walk next to the machine
and look in the direction of travel!
The operator must always have an overview of
the working area, and be able to stop the ma
chine if necessary!
11. Use the drive lever to adjust the direction of tra
vel and travel speed for the milling con
ditions [4, Fig. A].
The machine moves in the selected direction.
The surfaced is milled.
3.3 Ending the operation
In an emergency, the machine can be switched
off with the EMERGENCY STOP button
[24, Fig. D] or by pulling the safety line
[34, Fig. F].
Risk of injury from automatic movements!
When the drive motor is switched off and the
milling rotor is not under load (e.g. in the event
of an emergency stop), the milling rotor conti
nues turning for a few seconds due to inertia.
The machine may continue to move during this
time.
-
(
) = less milling depth.
+
(
) = more milling depth.
Risk of injury from high voltage!
There is still residual voltage even after the ma
chine has been switched off. In order to switch
the machine free of voltage, the power plug
[25, Fig. D] has to be disconnected from the
mains!
1.
Shift the drive lever [4, Fig. A] into the middle
position (f).
2.
Pull the lift lever (quick lift) [16, Fig. C] all the
way back [19, Fig. C].
The lift lever latches into place.
The milling rotor is raised.
3.
Switch off drive motor:
BEF 320EX:
Turn the drive switch [23, Fig. D] to f.
Disconnect mains [25, Fig. D].
BEF 320VX:
Turn the fuel valve [30, Fig. E] to
(! HONDA operating manual).
4.
Wait until the drive and the milling roll stop.
The operation is ended.
4 Maintenance
Follow the safety instructions in Chapter 2.
Before starting cleaning or maintenance work:
End operation (! Chapter 3.3 ‐ page 21)!
Let machine cool down!
BEF 320EX:
When working on the machine (set‐up, mainte
nance, service, repair, cleaning, etc.), the power
supply of the machine has to be disconnected
from the mains
(disconnect power plug)!
The operating and maintenance personnel resp
onsible for the machine must ensure that no one
can enter the machine's danger zone during
operation or maintenance work.
Maintenance work may only be performed by
trained specialists! They must be familiar with
the dangers associated with such work, protect
themselves and avoid danger!
The machine needs to be secured against tip
ping during maintenance work!
If necessary, make use of braces.
Keep in mind the weight of the machine and the
machine parts! Secure dismantled parts against
falling.
After cleaning and maintenance work, check the
safety equipment for completeness and functio
nality.
