In certain unfavourable cases a sound-absorbing device may
be required (measurements by the operator are recommended).
Sound-absorbing measures are to be carried out by the
operator so as not to exceed the legally permitted peak values
at the work places near the blower.
3 Installation
3.1 Transport
G Check all parts for damage during transport before installati-
on and starting of operation.
G Do not store the blower unprotected in the open (protect
against moisture).
G Attach hoist securely. Only use hoists and load suspension
devices with sufficient load-carrying capacity.
G The belt drive and free rotating parts are to be covered with
a belt guard in accordance with DIN EN 294.
G The belt tension must be checked after an operating time of
approx. 2 hrs. Retension the belts if required.

3.2 Installation, assembly
G Install the blower horizontally and weather-protected.
G Do not subject the blower to any vibrations or shocks.
G Bolt the blower securely at the point of installation on a solid
and level base.
G Open intake and discharge ports are to be protected by wire
guards in accordance with DIN EN 294.
G Belt drive and free rotating parts are to be covered with a

G The belt tension must be checked after an operating time of
approx. 2 hrs. Retension the belts if required.
G Ensure adequate motor cooling; max. ambient temperature
+40° C.

Note!
The instructions of the relevant electric motor
manufacturer should be observed. Connect in

Start operation of blower.
The direction of rotation of the impeller must correspond to
the directional arrow on the housing.
4 V-belt drive

Note!
The blowers are fitted with V-belt pulleys for narrow
V-belts in accordance with DIN 7753.
To avoid premature damage to the grooved ball
bearings, the V-belt drives must be tensioned
correctly. The V-belt drive must be dimensioned in
3
/min
accordance with the appropriate method of calcula-
3
/h
tion applied by the respective V-belt manufacturer.
G The fan belt pulley must not be modified.
G The max. permissible fan speed must not be exceeded
(see table section 1).
G The belt drive and free rotating parts are to be covered with
3
/min
a belt guard in accordance with DIN EN 294.
/h
3
G The belt tension must be checked after an operating time of
approx. 2 hrs. Retension the belts if required.
G Never operate the fan if the protective guard is not attached
and screwed on securely (risk of injury).
5 Maintenance
Wearing parts are subject to the recommended maintenance
intervals and are a constituent part of the applicable warranty
claims. The service life of wearing parts (ball bearings, V-belts
and filters) depends on the operating hours, the load and other
influences, such as temperature, etc.

5.1 Ball Bearings

The fan is equipped with enclosed deep groove ball bearings,
which do not have be to re-greased and have a minimum service
life of approx. 12,000 hours. We recommend exchanging the
ball bearings before the end of service life (at least 12,000 hours).
The 18-month operating time is not to be exceeded given con-
tinuous operations of 24 hours a day.
