Initial use and grilling
•
Wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth and dry carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
•
Ensure that the fat collecting channel is inserted in the appliance.
•
Connect the appliance to the mains.
1. Switching on
•
The red "operation" LED above the main switch flashes, the appliance is ready for use and in waiting mode.
•
Touch the main switch until you can hear the acoustic signal. The red "operation" LED glows and the display shows
a flashing "0" as long as the grill surface is cold. The grill is now in standby-mode.
•
NOTE: Should the grill plate still be hotter than 60 °C due to previous usage, the actual temperature is displayed
instead of "0".
•
If there is no further activation within 60 seconds, the display goes out and the control unit will switch back from
stand-by to the waiting mode.
2. Setting the grill temperature and heating-up
•
Press the "+" or "-" touch key in the standby mode. The control unit changes to the setting mode and the suggested
temperature of "180 °C" is displayed when initially switching the appliance on.
•
NOTE: If the appliance was not disconnected from the power supply since its previous operation, the former grill
temperature is displayed as suggested temperature instead.
•
The desired grill temperature can be set using the "+" or "-" touch key. The temperature can be regulated in steps
of 10 °C from 80 °C to 280 °C.
•
If no other touch key is activated within 5 seconds, there is an acoustic signal, the "Heating" LED spot (next to the
grill temperature) goes on. Now the appliance is in operating mode and will start heating automatically.
•
As soon as the unit has heated up to the set grill temperature the first time, you will hear an acoustic signal and the
"Heating" LED spot goes out. The electronic control keeps the grill temperature automatically on the set level.

to the setting mode. (For safety reasons, this first touch does not result in a change of the grill temperature.)
•
Now, by touching the "+" or "-" key once again, the grill temperature can be changed in steps of 10 °C.
•
NOTE: If no further sensor is touched within 5 seconds, you will hear an acoustic signal and the appliance switches
back to operating mode.

•
NOTE: You may display the current temperature of the grill plate at any time in order to check the heating up
process and the temperature control. Temperatures of the grill surface, which are < 40 °C are not detected and
displayed as "40 °C"
•
Press the "°C" touch key once to enter the display mode. The red LED "current temperature"lights up and the actual
temperature of the grill surface is displayed. The normal operating mode with temperature regulation is still running
in the background.

functions are active.
•
As long as the grill plate has a temperature of > 60 °C after switching off, the warning "hot" will be is displayed. If
