Setup your controller/ LED Outputs, Step width

To conﬁgure your LED-outputs switch to the „OUTPUT" window. In here you can conﬁgure your LED type (for SlimPixx use ws2812/ws2811/sk6812).

For any other 24VDC LED type use matching description. Please remember that using the SlimPixx-controller with other LEDs is not suggested and

LichtLogistik LED Support GmbH will not take any responsibility for that usage.

Below you can adjust the step width of your LED System, from 1 (single pixel) up to 8 (one RGB ﬁxture on your software = 8 pixel on your SlimPixx-system.

This setting only works in combination with the „8 Outputs" selection below.

Here you can also turn on and oﬀ the test pattern. For this, please select „OFF" or „RGB" below Power on test.

For selecting the „Output Channel" you have to remind the following topics:

„1 Output":

The controller will span 8 output universes, 4096 Channels to one physical output. On your controller LED Out1.

This conﬁguration will not work together with the step width 1-8, as described above.

„2Output":

The controller will span 4 out universes to one physical output.

Universe 1-4 on LED Out1 and universe 5-8 on LED Out2 on your controller. This is the normal setting on delivery.

„8Output":

This selection will send 8 universes to 8 physical outputs. But remember, you only have two physical outputs on your controller.

So, you will send out only „ArtNet Out 1" and ArtNet Out 2" from the the ArtNet-window, as described above.

This selection can be used in combination with the selection of the step width. So you have the possibility to reduce the channel amount.

Example:

1 SlimPixx-stick is 64 single pixel. With select step width 8 you can reduce to 8 pixel. (8 groups of 8 pixel for each rigid bar)

You will reduce the amount of channels from 192 to 24. (64 RGB groups to 8 RGB groups)

Last topic is „stripe length per universe". In here you can edit the number of channels per universe. If you combine several universes, set to 510.

So you will patch 170 ﬁxtures to each universe output. Channel 511 and 512 will not be used.

With pressing „submit" you will send your changes to the controller.
