Standard press seal HSD-SSG
Fold out the front and rear press segment and at a
distance of approx. 10 mm from the screw drilling,
separate the rubber press ring with a sharp knife
(see fi g.: 4b).
The front and rear press segments must be
arranged offset (see fi g.: 4).
Then fold out and pull off the segment rings one by

one until the necessary diameter area is visible on
the segment (see fi g.: 4c).
For split seals, this step must be repeated for the
other half of the press seal in exactly the same way
(the same number of segments must be removed
on each half of the press seal).
If necessary, cut the segment rings with a sharp
knife at the sectioning point and then pull off.
Lubricate the rubber press ring at the cutting sur-

face with lubricant GM (not included in the scope
of delivery) (see fi g.: 4d).
Lubricate the media line with lubrication GM.

Insert the media line into standard press seal or fold
the seal over the media line and close both press
segments (see fi g.: 5).
Re-mount screw and nut (see fi g.: 5).
Insert the standard press seal into core drilling/con-

duit from outside of building until fl ush with the
wall (see fi g.: 6).
Tighten the allen screws in a crosswise sequence
until the torque is reached (see t able 1) and the
rubber emerges evenly from all inspection openings
(see fi g.: 6 und 7).
If installation is carried out correctly, it will not
be necessary to retighten the screws.
5.3 Mount the standard press seal from
the inside of building
Assembly is carried out as in work stages 3a till 4d,
only from the inside of the building.
Lubricate the media line with lubrication GM.

Insert the media line into standard press seal or fold
the seal over the media line and close both press
segments (see fi g.: 5).
Re-mount screw, slide ring and nut (see fi g.: 5).
Insert the standard press seal from inside of building

as far as the outer edge of the core drilling/conduit
(see fi g.: 8).
Tighten the allen screws with an extension in a
crosswise sequence until the torque is reached (see
table 1) and the rubber emerges evenly from all
inspection openings (see fi g.: 8 und 7).
If installation is carried out correctly, it will not
be necessary to retighten the screws.
