4. Cooling and ventilating
Overheated rooms can be cooled using the high-volume air flow of a blower. To do so, put the device
on the floor or another even surface and allow air from cooler areas or from outside to flow in.
5. Humidity control
If the fan is used to increase the evaporation in a building, the air humidity usually increases
immediately as well. If this occurs, the air movement is less effective and drying is slowed down. For
this reason, it is essential that the fan is used along with sufficient dehumidification. In order to control
the development of mould, air humdity in rooms has to be kept below 60 per cent. If possible, air
humdity in rooms should be kept below 45 per cent. A HEYLO dehumidifier can be used for the
purpose.
In order to improve drying, the area to be dried has to be closed off from the rest of the building. Set
the heating or the air conditioning to 20 to 27 deg. C. If no dehumdifier is available, use an exhause
fan on attics, in kitchens and bathrooms to remove the humidity. If the outside air is very dry, windows
or doors may be opened a bit.
6. Operation
Connect the unit to an earthed socket. Set switch (A) to the requested speed (three steps). Check
correct operation before leaving the unit unattended.
Do not move or carry the blower during operation. Observe the direction of air. It is marked by an
arrow on the blower.
The operating hours that have run down can be read off at the operating hours meter (B).
In addition, the unit has been fitted with a motor protection switch. By means of the reset button (C) it
can be switched on again, if it should have shut down at some time due to overload.
Before switching the unit back on again, find the cause for the safety shutdown and remove the
disorder.
By means of an adapter, the outlet (D) can be fitted with up to three air hoses for better air distribution.
