SPRAYING PRESSURE
The maximum spraying pressure can be set at 1, 2, 3 or 4 bar.
The sprayer is equipped with a valve (white) ensuring that the spraying pres-
sure does not exceed 4 bar. In case you want another maximum spraying
pressure, enclosed springs with colour-coded cone may be used: 1 bar black,
2 bar red, 3 bar yellow. The pump capacity per stroke is 0.07 litre. As standard
the lance is equipped with flat spray nozzle No. 4110-12 which has a capacity
of 0.6 l/min (25 fl. oz.) at 2 bar (29 p.s.i.). Furthermore, two cone spray nozzles
with grey swirl are delivered with the sprayer. Nozzle No. 1553-12 has a ca-
pacity of 0.67 l l/min. (28 fl.oz.) and nozzle No. 1553-18 has a capacity of 1.17
l/min (50 fl.oz.) at a pressure of 2 bar (29 p.s.i.).
CALIBRATION
For accurate application, the sprayer must be calibrated.
This should be done before use, when new nozzles have been fitted, following
mechanical overhaul or when changing application technique.
Always test sprayer with clean water.
3 things influence application rate:
• walking speed
• nozzle selection and operating pressure
• spray width
