❐ Do not iron on bases made of glass or plastic.
❐ Always work with suffi cient lighting.
❐ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (observe the MAX mark on the water tank!). If
possible, use distilled water to fi ll the device.
❐ Never fi ll the device with cleaners or other chemical additives. They may irreparably
damage the device and as such, the safe operation of the device can no longer be
assured.
❐ Do not fi ll the water tank with decalcifi ers.
❐ Never cover the steam vents and do not insert any objects in them.
❐ Activate the steam production only if the water tank is fi lled with water; otherwise, the
water pump can be damaged and the life span of the device can be affected.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or ovens to prevent dam-
age to the device.
❐ Only use original accessories.
❐ Never pull or carry the device by the cable.
❐ Never wind the cable around the device.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature,
moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
❐ Always fi rst test the device on a small, unnoticable area of clothing.
❐ Never iron one area for too long in order to prevent damage to the clothing.
❐ Always set the iron down in the station, in order to avoid damages on surface, which
can be caused by the hot soleplate.
❐ Only stow the device once it has completely cooled off and the water tank is com-
pletely empty.
❐ Store the device in a clean, dry area that is not accessible to children.
