Proper use

❐ This device is suitable for dry and steam ironing of pieces of clothing, for example
made of cotton, wool, satin, silk, nylon or linen.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with impaired
physical, sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and/or knowledge
if they are supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the device and
have understood the risks associated with operating the device. Children may not
play with the device. Children may not perform cleaning and user maintenance of the
device unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
❐ Keep children under 8 years of age and animals away from the device and the con-
nection line.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed
improper.
❐ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate tele-
control system.
❐ Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded
from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Risks of injury

❐ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging. Danger of suffoca-
tion exists!
❐ Attention! Hot surfaces! The soleplate of the iron becomes very hot during use. For
this reason, only hold the device by the handle during operation. Do not touch the
soleplate during use or directly after use.
❐ Scalding hazard! Never point the steam directly at people, animals or plants.
❐ Never attempt to iron clothing that is being worn by someone.
❐ When ironing vertically, make sure that there is enough space around the piece of
clothing you intend to iron. Vertical ironing shall only be applied if the piece of clothing
is hanging on a coat hanger and cannot come in contact with other pieces of clothing,
objects, persons or animals.
❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard.
❐ Never leave the device unattended when plugged in to the electricity supply. Pull the
mains plug in case of longer breaks.
❐ Always let the device cool off completely before you clean and/or stow it.
❐ Store the device out of the reach of children!
❐ Never tilt the station to the side, if the water tanks is fi lled. Otherwise hot water can
fl ow out.
