3. For emptying the dust collection bag, just tap out or, if available, clean with compressed air.
Switching the Finishing Sander ON and OFF
1. To switch on the machine, depress the ON/OFF trigger(1)
2. For locking the ON/OFF trigger, push the locking button (2) in the handgrip,
while holding the ON/OFF trigger in the "ON" position.
3. To switch off the machine, press the ON/FF trigger again. The locking button
moves back. Now release the ON/OFF trigger.
After switching off and before putting down the machine, allow the motor
come to a complete standstill!
Hold the machine firmly with your hand when using and whenever possible,
move the machine in a steady motion parallel to the surface. By doing so, you
will avoid grooves or hollows on surface.
Speed Controller
With the speed controller (4) you can adjust the speed according to application.
Select the appropriate speed setting and make sure the sander does not become
overloaded and stops running.
Turn the speed controller (4) steplessly to the desired setting to increase or
decrease the speed. The controller can be adjusted from 1-6. The speed rate can
be changed during operation as well.
Hint: The required speed rate for cutting resp,sanding a workpiece depends on the
material that you are going to process. For best performance, make some practical tests.
Sanding
Apply only moderate pressure on the machine. Too much pressure will lead to jamming of the mechanism
and will spoil the result. Excessive pressure will overheat the machine.
Always select abrasive paper with coarseness suited the condition of the surface.
Use finer papers in the consecutive sanding until the desired smoothness is reached. If you desire a very
smooth finish you may slightly moisten the surface before the last sanding. This will slightly swell the fibres
and allow a smother finish.
CAUTION! Before performing any care or maintenance work, disconnect from the power.
Use a dry brush to clean the dust extraction openings. Clean the housing with a damp cloth only –
do not use solvents! Then dry well. Remove the dust collection bag from the plastic section to empty.
Empty carefully, try not to create dust. Do not breathe in saw dust! Wash out the bag in cold soapy water
and allow drying.
Before each use, check the machine, the cable and accessories to ensure that they are not damaged. Have
any necessary repairs completed by a specialist.
Machines that no longer function properly should be disposed off correctly in accordance with the local
regulations.
