GENERAL COMMUNICATION OBJECTS
N.
Name of the object of
communication
0
Up Down
It is the main command to move the motor. Based on the datapoint value, the motor is activated upwards (value 0) until the upper limit is
reached, or downwards (value 1) until the lower limit is reached.
The up/down command can be inhibited via the "Master Enable" datapoint; this allows you to disable via bus the devices that activate the
shutter/awning at certain times or under certain conditions.
1
Stop
When the interface receives this datapoint, independent of its value, the motor is immediately stopped.
The efficiency of this command is not conditioned by the "Master Enable" datapoint (the stop command cannot be disabled).
2
Position
Each time the motor stops, the interface spontaneously sends this datapoint on the bus. According to the Knx standard, position 0%
corresponds to the position of the upper limit, while position 100% corresponds to the lower limit percentage.
If a reading is made of this datapoint from the bus, the value outlined in the response is the last one sent, even if in the meantime the
motor has started to move and the shutter/awning is no longer in that position.
3
Master Enable
It is possible to disable all the Knx motor activation commands via bus ("Up Down", "Step" and "Move To" datapoints); this
communication object is intended to create conditions in which the devices connected to the bus are or are not active.
When reset, all the datapoints are active; upon the receipt of a telegram on this datapoint with a value of 0, the activation datapoints are
disabled. To re-enable them it is necessary to send a telegram with a value of 1.
6
Step
This datapoint has a dual function.
If received while the shutter/awning is in motion, it causes its immediate stoppage, independent of the datapoint value and the direction
of motion. This function is always effective and cannot be inhibited using the "Master Enable" datapoint.
If received while the shutter/awning is stopped, it causes short movement upwards (value 0) or downwards (value 1).
The latter function can be inhibited via the "Master Enable" datapoint; this allows you to disable via bus the devices that activate the
shutter/awning at certain times or under certain conditions.
7
Move To
When this datapoint is received, the shutter/awning is brought to the opening percentage indicated.
According to the Knx standard, position 0% corresponds to the position of the upper limit, while position 100% corresponds to the lower
limit percentage.
The Move To command can be inhibited via the "Master Enable" datapoint; this allows you to disable via bus the devices that activate the
shutter/awning at certain times or under certain conditions.
8
Scenes
Enables saving up to 8 positions of the shutter/awning to reference them in a single command.
The most significant bit of the data distinguishes the two functions (learn).
If the learn bit is 0 (values from 00h to 07h), the shutter/awning is brought to the saved position.
If the learn bit is 1 (values from 80h to 87h) and learning is enabled (SceneLearnEnable "Enabled" parameter), the current position is
saved. If learning is disabled, the command has no effect.
In the factory, the following positions are pre-loaded:
- Scene 1: 20% of stroke
- Scene 2: 30% of stroke
- Scene 3: 40% of stroke
- Scene 4: 50% of stroke
- Scene 5: 60% of stroke
- Scene 6: 70% of stroke
- Scene 7: 80% of stroke
- Scene 8: 90% of stroke
