3. Safety information
The appliance may only be used indoors for the purpose for
which it is designed in accordance with these instructions.
3.1. People not permitted to use this appliance
• This appliance may not be used by children under the age
of 8. This appliance may be used by children aged 8 and up-
wards if constantly supervised. This appliance may be used
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabil-
ities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are under
supervision or have been given instructions concerning the
safe use of the appliance and if they understand the poten-
tial risks. The appliance and its connecting cable must be kept
away from children younger than 8 years old. Cleaning and
maintenance may not be carried out by children.

Keep plastic packaging and protective film out of the
reach of children.
There is a risk of suffocation!
3.2. General instructions
• To avoid risks caused by unintentional resetting of the over-
heating protection, the appliance should not be operated us-
ing an external switching system, such as a timer plug, or con-
nected to a power circuit that is regularly switched on and off
by another system.
• If the mains cable for this appliance is damaged, it must be re-
placed by the Medion Service Centre or a suitably qualified
person in order to avoid hazards.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
3.3. Setting up the appliance
• Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, dry and level surface.
