Turning on
1. Remove side covers.

3. Close the side valves (1) and
open main valve (2) slowly as
far as it will go.
5. Open side valves completely.
2. Open the cover by turning
counter­clockwise (as shown
by the arrow on the cover).
4. Open the side valves slightly
until the hydrant is fully pur­
ged. Rinse the fire­hydrant on
first use (rinse sufficiently).
