PREPARATION:
Verify you have all parts before beginning the installation. Check foam insert closely for missing parts. Remove motor
from packing. To avoid damage to finish, assemble motor on soft padded surface or use the original foam inset in motor box.
Do not lay fan on its side as this could result in shifting of motor in decorative enclosure.
INSTALLING THE MOUNTING BRACKET:
Caution:
To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned off at the main
power box before writing. All wiring must be in accordance with National and
Local Electrical Codes and the ceiling fan must be grounded as a precaution
against possible electric shock.
Attach the hanger bracket to outlet box using screws provided with outlet box. Install square rubber washer between bracket and
outlet box to reduce vibration of metal to metal surface.
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked acceptable for fan support and use
mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures are not
acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt
INSTALLING THE FAN
YOKE & DOWNROD ASSEMBLY (FOR DOWNROD TYPE ONLY)
1- Feed motor lead wires through downrod assembly & canopy. Insert down rod into yoke.
2- Insert the cross pin throught yoke & down rod, then secure with cotter pin.
3- Thighten both jam screwa to further secure downrod.
4- Pull down yoke cover in proper position.
5- Lift fan assembly onto mountaing bracket.
6- Carefully lift the fan assembly onto on mounting bracket. Rotate fan so that the notch on the ball engages the ridge in the
mounting bracket.
HANGING THE FAN
Lift the fan assembly and hag onto the tab on mountaing bracket. This will permit you to make the electrical connections without
having to hold the fan up as well.
